New to CrossFit Winter Park? Explore our frequently asked questions!

  • What should I expect in my first class?

    You’ll be guided by a coach the entire time. Class typically includes a warm‑up, skill or strength segment, and a workout of the day. Movements are always modified to your current ability level. 


  • Do I need to be in shape before starting CrossFit?

    No! Our program is adjustable for every fitness level. Your coach will modify movements to meet you where you are at. 


  • Do you offer a beginner’s program or On Ramp?

    Yes, absolutely. Anyone new to CrossFit is required to take our two-session On Ramp program. In these two, one-hour sessions we will review technique, proper movement patterns, safety, and terminology which helps build confidence and prepares you for our regular classes.

  • How often should I train?

    Most new athletes start with 3-4 classes per week and increase gradually as their fitness improves.


  • What if I have an injury or limitation?

    That’s ok! We can work around injuries or limitations and provide alternatives to keep you moving and active. 


  • Do you have showers?

    Yes! We have 2 showers in the gym. 


  • What should I bring to class?

    Comfortable workout clothing, water, and athletic shoes. If you have specific gear like grips or a jump rope, feel free to bring it, but it is not required.


  • I’ve done CrossFit before and I’m new to the area — do you offer a free trial?

    Yes. If you are new to the area, have prior experience, and are looking for a new gym, we would love to have you come in and check out a class or two. Please email info@crossfitwinterpark.com or call 407‑960‑7960 ahead of time so we can send you a waiver and hold you a spot in class.


  • I’m visiting and would like to drop in — do I need to reserve a spot or can I just show up?

    Please do not just show up. Reserve and pay for a drop‑in spot before arriving at the gym. We welcome drop‑ins with at least 3 months of continuous training at another CrossFit affiliate.
